Well, there are a lot of inventions that have changed the way people live and Without exaggeration, I think that smartphones have revolutionized humanity. They allow us to do amazing things and interact with the world in ways we never thought were possible. They can be used for making and receiving calls texting friends family and colleagues getting and sharing news on social network sites, checking email messages, and even doing online banking.
We also use them to take photos and keep track of calendar events. For example, in the past, I used to depend too much on my home PC for doing such tasks. Now that I have a smartphone, I no longer have to rush to a computer to edit a document or check my email. So, first of all, this invention has made our lives much easier providing us with an easy and fast way of communication, enabling us
to do various tasks all at the same time, and freeing us from the constraints of space. The second change brought by smartphones is that they have replaced many devices such as ebook readers, MP3 players, or cameras. If you want, you can use them for listening to music or watching a film. Also, there are apps for practically everything.
They are quick to install and easy to use. Thus, having a smartphone makes waiting not as boring as in the past.
So I am more than sure it’s difficult to overestimate the popularity of smartphones as wherever you go, you see people that are literally glued to the devices. Now we just can’t imagine our lives without these devices. For instance, I use mine all the time I am awake. I feel really weird if my phone isn’t within close proximity to me. What’s more, we’re so dependent on our smartphones that some of us even use them while driving even though everybody realizes that they are taking a risk of someone’s life and ruining their own.
I have read that currently there are more than 1 billion smartphone users in the world. That’s such an impressive figure. der And this means that smartphones are more popular than computers. All these examples prove that the smartphone is by far the most significant invention ever.

1- how has technology made our lives easier?
Answer- The digital era has simplified life in every aspect from keeping people connected, to storing data, making information available, and many more. In comparison to the Past people used to send letters which were time-consuming and nowadays they can send a message to anyone within a few seconds. Moreover, in the past, most of the works which were physically demanding are now easy to perform.
2- Is it more difficult for old people to accept new technology?
Answer- Well according to me it is quite hard for older people to access the new technology but if anybody will teach them how they can use it then I suppose it would not be a daunting task for the grey-haired people to accept new technology.
3- will our lives be better if we live without technology?
Answer- well in accordance with me, every coin has two sides so technology has some negative implications too. For this reason, I can say that if we live without technology then our lives would be better. As everybody knows that as people are bringing comfort to their lives with the help of technology it damages their biosphere and nature so if we would choose to live without technology then there would be no pollution on this green planet earth, no global warming, and many more.

Well, this age can be termed an innovative era and I would like to talk about one innovation that has tremendously transformed the lifestyle of people. Its name is ‘Alexa’. Alexa is Amazon’s all-knowing, voice-controlled virtual assistant. Basically, it’s the name of the female voice that comes out of the Alexa-enabled speaker, to which one can ask questions and get answers, such as “Alexa, what’s the weather today?” and a user will definitely receive a correct answer.
Furthermore, it can be enabled through the Alexa app on smartphones, and the availability of Wi-Fi is necessitated. Not only answer questions but it can also play one’s favorite playlists, control smart home, set timers, and can even shop on Amazon. In fact, Alexa has remodeled the way of living in quirky ways. For instance, it has made shopping extremely convenient for workaholics as well as indolent people.
It can create a shopping list on one’s voice command ar can place or cancel the order. Using it, now any person, from teenagers to oldsters, can get updated with the latest news, weather condition, or the meaning of any unknown or difficult word on just one voice demand. Needless to say, culture enhances our quality of life and increases overall well-being for both individuals and communities. Every country has its own cultures and traditions.I like to learn about different kinds of cultures as it helps me to broaden my knowledge.
Today, i am going to talk about an interesting thing that I learned from Canadian culture. Actually, it is about Thanksgiving day. I learned about this day from my sister who lives in Canada. As a matter of fact, last year, when I was talking with her on phone, she told me that she is enjoying Thanksgiving day with her friends.
I heard about this day for the first time in my life, so it fascinated me a lot and i immediately SHUSTER asked her about this day. Then she told me that this day is celebrated in Canada on the second Monday of October. I was curious to learn about that day, so i also searched on the internet and I came to know that the original idea of this day is to give thanks for the past harvest season.
But the tradition has changed over time and the focus is now to get together with family. I think celebrating this interesting day helps people to meet with their kith and kin. In this way, they spend quality time with their friends which strengthens their bonds. Moreover, people prepare a special meal on this day which includes turkey, mashed potatoes, and many other dishes.
So, this is an amazing day that is celebrated in Canada every year and now i have a lot knowledge about it.

Here, I’m going to take this opportunity to talk about the invention of the smartwatch that has positively altered people’s lifestyles. Smartwatches were just introduced a couple of years back and they have become an integral part of many people’s lives. Unlike a simple wristwatch, it has multiple features, as it gets connected to the user’s smartphone. I have to say, one can make and receive calls, check notifications, play music, and so on, without using their mobile phones.
 At the same time, people can also track their health and physical activities using their smartwatches.These have many features, like sleep monitor, heart rate monitor, blood oxygen levels, and calorie tracker, which help users to stay fit and active. It is a transport system. Well, Living in 21st century, we come across new inventions every now and then. But, the one that I highly appreciate is the invention of fibre optic. The reason behind the revolution in internet technology. Needless to say, today we are surrounded with electronic gadgets with high-speed internet connectivity. At the same time, most works are done online from Ticket reservations to online shopping.
However, in past it was not the case. Although, computers were invented long time ago but, data transmission was extremely slow and expensive. Even text information used to take long time to get transferred forget about audios and videos. But, a sikh scientist Mr. Narinder Singh Kapany from my city Moga, moved to America for his further research and invented fibre optic, which could transfer huge amount of information in a fraction of seconds.
The credit goes to this amazing person who has made our lives extremely comfortable and enjoyable because today 4G and 5G networks completely depend on his invention. Sitting at our homes, we can watch Youtube videos, play online games, make video calls on smartphones and all is possible just because of Mr. Kapany. He has been awarded by the government of America as well as India and many believe he deserves Noble Prize.
Unfortunately, Mr. kapany died couple of years ago which was a complete disaster he would remain alive in the hearts of the people for his amazing and marvelous invention. I feel proud to tell others that he is from my region, as he has brought a huge fame to the area. Oveall, fiber optic is the invention that I think has changed the world.

Well, technology has changed tremendously in past few decades. There are a lot of gadgets without which I can’t think of living, like, smartphones, cameras, cars, refrigerators, ac, and a lot more. These kinds of gears have changed the world over.
But here I would like to talk about an invention without which all these gears can fail in their purpose. I’m talking about electricity. Its an only thing without which I don’t think any person can live. Its always around us and we even don’t imagine living without electricity.
I can just imagine how difficult it would be to preserve food, water, milk and many more things that is now super easy to just place in a refrigerator. Ultimately, I must say that the internet has become a necessity for humans.

In my opinion, I think the washing machine is the most helpful invention for the home. For numerous people washing clothes is a daunting task. With the assistance of this machine, we can do other work simultaneously.Â

It is challenging for older people to accept new technologies in some cases as they are not used to new technologies. Using new appliances is a herculean task for them because they do not know how to use touch mobile or smartphones.

Firstly, the family members, especially kids, must help the elderly about how to use new technology. Secondly, big technology companies can organise seminars where older people can be taught about the use of latest gadgets.

Different technologies have made our lives easier in different ways. However, in effect most technologies reduce our labor and save us valuable time, thus improving our quality of life considerably. They also in a way reduce our need on others because we can do everything on our own.

I think it’s very hard to choose one. It really depends upon the person and their use. For example, I find dishwashers as very useful because in my house, I have the responsibility of washing utensils. For my mother the answer might be the vacuum cleaner as she is responsible for cleaning.
3. Is it more difficult for old people to accept new technologies?
I think change is difficult for everyone. and, the difficulty increases with age because the time we spend accustomed to something also increases as we grow older. I think rather than looking at it as a problem, we should be focusing on ways to making it easier for our elders to accept them.
4. What can be done to help old people learn to make use of new technologies?
Many steps can be taken to encourage the use of new technologies. Firstly, these big technology companies can organise seminars where older people can be taught about use of latest gadgets. I remember when my mother first bought a laptop, she was offered a free two hour session on its use for the whole week. At the end of the week, she knew many things, I didn’t. Secondly, family members can also be helpful in helping their parents and grandparents when they are finding something difficult.
5. Will our life be better if we live without technology?
Technology has improved our life in many ways but it has also brought many challenges. Life would certainly be simpler, but I wouldn’t call it better. Moreover, I think we have become so accustomed to technology just the idea of living without it is unfathomable.
