The electricity problem is a common concern in every corner of India either in a big city or small village. However, here I would like to talk about a time when I had to spend a night without a light. It was a matter of 2 months past starting of the summer season when I went to my maternal home with my family, unfortunately, at the evening time, there was no electricity. When my maternal uncle enquired about it electrician told that it will not come for 12 hours due to the heavy electric strikes on transforms. So that reason we had to sleep outside under the sky.

Firstly I thought that it would be difficult to sleep here because of the hot weather without a fan or cooler. then after a few minutes, the cool wind started to blow. The air was Mixed with the pleasant, dewy petrichor of the post-rain afternoon. I was very happy because my all family members were there on their separated charpais  (known as in my mother tongue). Since then there was a 12 the light didn’t come. There was darkness all around and I was enjoying the view of twinkling trillions of stars in the sky. I fell asleep while watching the stars until morning light didn’t come.

So this was a time when I had to spend the whole night without a light. Sometimes it puts a great impact on daily chores and comfort, but it was proved most enjoyable and pleasant night for me.
