When did you take this photo?

Well, I have a keen interest in photography and I love to capture my memories with a Camera. Today, I would like to talk about a photo that makes me proud. Last month, I visited Himachal Pradesh to pay obeisance at a Hindu temple. It is really a beautiful hill station. I went there with my best friend, Mani. When we were coming back from the temple, we stopped at the Bombay picnic spot.

What is the photo about?

Mani was taking a camel ride there, suddenly I took his photo with my iPhone 14 pro. Interestingly, it was not a pre-planned picture. Actually, the background view behind him was amazing. There was a beautiful sunset view between two mountains. I felt I had to click pictures. When I showed him his photograph, he felt over the moon. Basically, he has not much interest in photos, but on that day he was happy with that picture.

Why did you feel proud of the photo?

Because it was a somewhere different picture with mountains and sunset view. Moreover, he also appreciated to my photography skill. All in all, I feel proud because ill. All in I got appreciation from a person who doesn’t like to take photos. Also, I am so proud that I clicked the beautiful photo. Recently, he framed that picture and hanged on his room wall.

Part 3:- Follow-up Questions of Describe a photo that you are proud of

1. Why do some people like to use photographs to document important things?

I think photographs are one of the best ways to keep past memories alive. Whenever we look at photographs, we cannot help but remember the events and people that happened during that time. Also, photographs are one of the best ways to share our experiences with others. It is rightly said, a picture is worth a thousand words.

2. What can one learn from photographs taken throughout history?

The main thing people can learn from photos is the successes and failures of our ancestors. On the one hand, photographs are living proof of human ingenuity and progress and on the other hand, they also show how and where we failed. For example, photos of rich forests in the past at places occupied by modern high-rise buildings show our architectural achievement but at the same time show how we sacrificed our environment to achieve the same.

3. Are photographs the best way to remember something?

I used to believe that too. However, I recently read an article on how smells are much more effective in making us remember. In fact, that is why storytellers of the past use incense sticks and spice bowls when telling stories.

Sample test 3

When did you take this photo?

It was quite tricky to decide which photo to talk about because I’m really passionate about photography and I have taken quite a few photos at zillion places with my DSLR. But here I’ve chosen to talk about a photo that was taken donkey years back by my mobile phone when I went to pay obeisance at Golden Temple in Shri Amritsar.

What is the photo about?

I was visiting Golden Temple for the first time with my family and a close group of friends. Although I had my professional camera that said it got out of order suddenly and stopped working. Like I said before, I’m really into photography and I’ve started taking photos with iPhone 11. Usually, I tend to be in every photo but this is the only photo I’m not in. When I’m in photos, I never prefer posed photos so I asked everyone for natural poses while visiting Temple.

Why did you feel proud of the photo?

I guess I took roughly 20 pics, I started from shallow foot baths but the most stunningly beautiful photo was when my parents were taking a dip in the Amrit Sarovar I mean the pond of nectar. Truth be told, when I saw and showed that particular picture to my father and mother, I was pleased to see a wonderful smile on their faces. I’m guessing the main reason why I’m proud of that photo is that it was an unposed and natural one. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention that I also got it framed and fixed in our drawing room because this photo holds a lot of memories for me and my family. Later I also uploaded it on Instagram and got a bunch of likes and compliments from my friends and extended family.
